Simple-Reliable-Efficient
The rugged yet versatile Macrotek MJ Scrubber
has been successfully applied to a diverse range
of industrial emissions. It has no moving parts,
and scrubber internals are readily accessible
for routine maintenance or replacement. High efficiencies
for particulate collection and high mass transfer
rates for gas absorption are achieved at low pressure
drops and low liquid consumption rates.
Both particulate and gases can be collected
at the same time from the same gas stream. Scrubbing
liquid can be re-circulated to the to plate stage
and high concentration slurries can be tolerated.
Cleans-Cools-Absorbs
The
Macrotek MJ Scrubber uses the well proven Impingement
Baffle Plate design. The gas to be scrubbed “jets”
upwards through a flooded perforated plate colliding
with a wetted target directly above each orifice.
The highly turbulent action of these jets creates
a uniform gas-liquid contact zone for maximum
cleaning, absorption and heat transfer. In addition,
the turbulent cleaning action serves to flush
the collected particulate off the plates. Chemical
reagents may be added to the re-circulation liquid
to improve gas absorption efficiency.
Multiple plate stages may be used to achieve
the desired outlet emission. Provision may be
made to add more plate stages at some later date.
A high efficiency chevron or mesh pad entrainment
separator is always the final stage of scrubbing.
Typical applications for the Macrotek MJ scrubber
are: rotary, spray or fluid bed dryers, calciners,
mixers, grinders, crushers, conveyors, tank venting,
odour control, acid gas control or direct contact
condensing.
Scrubbers can be manufactured from mild steel,
stainless steel, FRP, or polypropylene. Plates
are available in stainless steel or polypropylene.
